Jamaica Kincaid, List of Do's and Don'ts

When you see some one walking down the street with a frown, smile; If you come across someone sitting alone go sit with them; if someone that comes across as troubled don’t make fun, try to help; if no one wants to help out make the first effort to start things off; if someone tries to stop you from doing something good, work around there words; when on the same token, don’t let someone tell you to do something bad, ignore it and do good things; if there is a chance to be the bigger person, do it; if a situation comes up that has to do with hurting anyone try your hardest to help avoid it; anyone and everyone can contribute somehow so don’t be afraid; if anyone ever puts you down then they are not worth your time; no one can stop you because life is a marathon then goes on for miles; never underestimate the power of the mind; if there is ever a moment that you are confused don’t be afraid to ask for help; anything that makes you feel uncomfortable can be changed by the effort you put into it; if you ever start something, anything, don’t stop until it is finished no matter how had it is to complete because the result may be worth it all; at the end of the day don’t dwell on what you did wrong, instead just think about that good; do things that are calming to you rather than distracting; if there is nothing to do, find something to do; when you want to relax and listen to music, try to create your own, pick up a guitar and play; don’t let anyone tell you that your music is bad; in fact, don’t let anyone tell you that anything you like is bad at all; just do what your heart tells you no matter what your mind says.

whip aroung.

The music firing at your heart springs to life like a lion about to pounce. Countless amounts of pain, hell, solves nothing because winning isn’t everything. I get by with feelings of my favorite things to sing.

Fairy Tale, Elmo, alcohol

Once upon a time there was a young girl named Melinda who was also the princess of Spain. At the age of only five, she did not know much about anything. Just starting tutoring at the kindergarten level she had not knowledge of anything that the adults were getting into. She did, however, know that there was a grand party for the returning of her father, the king. As days went by, the preparation grew larger. Things that she had never even seen before came through the large doors of the castle. Boxes of foods, drinks, and even some decorations to represent her culture.

The day before the returning, Melinda was walking around the castle anticipating the arrival. She began to feel parched and realized how ravenous she was. As she was walking down the twisted gold stairs, she saw a box at the door. She called for help but it seemed like everyone was already busy with something. Melinda tried to drag the box to the kitchen but it was too heavy. At this point she was curious to why the box was so heavy so she looked inside only to find that it was filled with different types of imported wines and other drinks containing alcohol. Being only five, she had a frivolous idea that if she drank some of the drinks then it would be easier to carry. So that is what she did. Since she was so parched to begin with, the drinks went down easy. At first, she did not like the taste at all but it did not bother her when she got to drinking her third bottle of wine. There was still about three quarters of it left but she could not finish. As she was dropping the bottle in her hand on the ground she felt sick. She called for help and no one would come. She sat on the ground waiting for someone to come to her. About two hours later she was laying on the ground as one of the maids walked by. When the maid realized what had happened she got worried. She began to clean up the drinks and moved them to the other room. She came back in where Melinda was and picked her up to bring her to her room. Melinda did not know what she had done.
The next morning, Melinda woke up without a clue of what she was going through. She walked down stairs to find the queen waiting for her. At only the age of five, Melinda had to be taught a lesson. Her mother, the queen, sat her down and tried to make her understand that what she did was wrong whether she was trying to help or not. The queen was just happy that her daughter was okay at this point. She began to explain what she did and told her that her father, the king, was never to know about this. As they finished up, the queen ordered Melinda to get ready. As she was sitting in her room she was trying to get all this information in her young mind. Out of no where she heard screaming come from her mother because her father had returned. She ran down stairs to a room full of people that she barely knew. The party had begun and it was time for fun. "Alcohol free fun."

American Diary?!?!

This is the cover of and album by a band I like. They aren't my favorite, but I like most of their songs. The band has pretty young members in it. Brandon Ingley is bass and vocals, Ben DeHan is guitar and vocals, Mikey Clark is guitar, and Reeder plays the drums. The four of these musicians make such great music together. I only recently starting listening to them so i do not know much about them but i know that i enjoy their music. I do have to also admit that i love Ben DeHan and Reeder. I think they are really good at what they do.

Texting opinion

Personally, I think that that texting has its pros and cons. Some people might take the advantage of texting too far and make it hated by others. Many people from the older generations, do not like the idea of texting becuase it is "not needed." However, teens from this day in age, including myself, like the idea of texting. The use of texting can be helpful at times which is good for a teenager with so many things to do.Many of the cons towards texting are minor and do not really make some people just hate texting in general. On the other hand, some people are so anti-texting that they completely hate it.
Some of the pros that i think are nessacary are the following. I think that some people need to know about some of the pros so that maybe they will change their mind and stop nagging. For example, if you want to have a side conversation with someone through a text while you are having another one in person, then i think that it would be fine because some people can pay attention to both. Also, I think that having the privillage to text is important becuause then they can have a conversation with someone at a time when it is supossed to be quiet. Some people may just need to tell someone quickly about something during work when they cannot just sit on the phone and talk on the phone. Other might not want to talk on the phone and rather text because some people talk on the phone too long and they might not want to be rude and just tell them to be quiet. Also, this could be a way of saving someone of being in an awkward situation with someone. Lastly, maybe someone doesnt want to have a full conversation and just wants to remind them of something. Overall, texting has a good amount of pros as well as cons.
Some of the cons that people talk about may also be true too. I mean, people that text alot can be annoying at times. For example, if you are trying to have a conversation with someone and all they are doing is staring at their phone, then it would seem to be annoying after a while. People might just want to listen to the persons emotions and reactions which you cannot get in a text. The idea of hearing someones actual voice may be more personal then just a text. Also, i feel that some people might be too distracted when something important needs to be said or done. In the end, texting has its good and bad sides.
